Pavel Durov donates $1 million to Wikipedia

Head of the Russia’s VKontakte social networking website Pavel Durov donated $1 million to the Wikipedia, he said at Digital Life Design (DLD) press conference in Munich on Tuesday.
Durov promised to transfer money during his joint speech with the Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.
To note, Wikipedia launched annual campaign to collect donations for the maintenance of efficiency of the resource in November, 2011. The Executive Director Sue Gardner announced earlier this month that the required 20 million had been allocated, Lenta.ru reports.
